Dear All,
Take a look at this article by Fiona Aubrey-Smith (at the time she was a practising infant class teacher) who describes her early explorations with a Virtual Learning Environment:

She has since gone on to establish a national reputation. So many of her ideas address the current education agenda and more importantly her practical suggestions seem manageable and would help to engage our pupils as we all come to terms with the potential of a VLE.
Fiona has also compiled these examples of how other schools use a VLE:

Let me know what you think.

All Ideas Gratefully Received
The Learning Platform will only be as good as the resources it provides and these will depend on what is perceived as useful by all its users - staff, pupils, parents, governors and the public.
So post your ideas to the blog so that we can start kicking around the possibilities and look into the practicalities of implementing them.

One small step for technology, one giant step for Grange.
Wow! Now we've really entered the 21st Century. The bounds are limitless. Let's make sure everyone contributes to the development of the learning platform so as to help transform all aspects of our school community.
